With over fifteen years experience in corporate bankruptcy, insolvency, and financial restructuring matters, Ashley R. Ray has earned a strong reputation as a talented and effective advocate for both corporate and individual clients. Ms. Ray represents debtors, creditors, estate fiduciaries, official committees of creditors, investors and purchasers of distressed assets in formal insolvency proceedings, including Chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcies as well as assignments for the benefit of creditors, and out-of-court restructurings.

Ms. Ray has substantial experience representing individuals and small to medium-sized companies, including publicly-held enterprises and closely-held businesses that face financial difficulty. Ms. Ray spends a significant amount of time with business management to analyze and understand the issues causing the financial distress and then guides the client to create and implement the most cost-efficient solution that meets the client objectives while maximizing recoveries for the estate. Ms. Ray graduated from Vanderbilt University with her B.A. in 1995 and from Wake Forest University School of Law with her J.D. in 1999. She is admitted to practice in state courts of Georgia, the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts of the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association and the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation.
