Born in Houston, Texas, John Sanders is an accomplished Atlanta bankruptcy attorney. He served as briefing attorney to the Honorable Bert W. Thompson, Chief Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Texas from 1981 to 1983. He was a partner in the San Antonio, Texas firm of Davidson & Troilo, where he headed its litigation department from 1988 to 1997. He is certified in business bankruptcy law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and board certified in business bankruptcy law by the American Bankruptcy Board of Certification. He concentrates his practice in bankruptcy, business law, and commercial litigation cases. He is AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review RatedSM by Martindale-Hubbell®.
Mr. Sanders graduated from the University of Houston with his B.S. in 1978 and from the South Texas College of Law with his J.D. in 1981. He was inducted into the prestigious Order of Lytae honor fraternity in recognition of his outstanding academic achievement at the South Texas College of Law.
Mr. Sanders is admitted to practice in Texas and Georgia, the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the U. S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia
Mr. Sanders is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia, where he is a member of its Bankruptcy Law Section.
